The opening scene the HBO’s “Newsroom” dared to tackle why America isn’t the “greatest” country in the world anymore. It also slapped both the Democratic and Republican parties in the face.

This photo calls out Chavez’s cheating and lying. It compares the construction of a 3km bridge in Venezuela to a 36km bridge in China. Guess what? The Venezuelan bridge cost nearly 400million to build and the Chinese bridge cost just 47million. And both projects took the same amount of time as well.

Remember how exciting it was to STOP SOPA AND PIPA? Well, now the House of Representatives has passed a new little effer to the Senate: CISPA.

Almost makes me think of Chispa… but I really can’t imagine the government having chispa…

CISPA is better than SOPA, but the fact that Facebook recommends it makes me wary. Facebook doesn’t really care much about our privacy. So we really can’t expect them to be an ethical compass for which bills to follow.

I hope Google and their whole “Don’t be evil” thing kicks in and helps out the masses once again.

According to Politifact (do I have to explain why they’re credible?), median incomes have fallen about 3 percent between 2000-2008, and just under 6 percent between 2000-2010. Basically, we’re making less money than we used to.

This is clearly a huge concern because products and services continue to become more expensive.

Anyway… I honestly don’t think it’s fair to blame the GOP exclusively. Yes, Obama inherited a host of problems, but a Democratic congress created some of those.

Can’t we all just hate each other fairly? :)

Did you know that by consistently raising the interest rates on student loans, the federal government earns $6 billion each year?

Simply freezing the interest on student loans at 3.4% will cause the federal government to “lose” six billion dollars every year.

Can you believe they’re profiting off of college students this grotesquely? It’s not like they even invest that money back into the schools! By not investing money back into the schools, the schools have to charge more. When the schools have to charge more, the government gets to lend out more money. When the government lends out more money, they earn more. Billions. more.

I think it’s time to burst this little bubble.

EDUCATION AND HOUSING ARE A BASIC NECESSITY. Economies and business are all about raising the standard of living. The standard of living in the US is superior to that of many other countries thanks to those of us who create businesses and become educated! We built this nation! Don’t double my interest rates, bro!
